Trang Nhung is a Vietnamese model, fashion designer and, and aspiring actress. Trang Nhung was the second runner-up of Miss Photogenic Vietnam 2005. She represented Vietnam in the Top Model of the World 2007 in China and made it up to the top 15 supermodels. She was born in 1985.

Miss Universe 2011 Leila Lopez attended the F1 Singapore Grand Prix Race

Fashion Show : Miss Universe 2011 Leila Lopes paid a visit to Singapore and attended the F1 Singapore Grand Prix Race on Thursday evening. Leila is joined by Miss Ukraine, Miss Singapore, Miss New Zealand, and several other beauty queens. She will be attending the upcomingFormula One night race and several related events. It’s Leila’s first international trip as Miss Universe. She seems to enjoy the trip very much. “It’s great. It’s really very beautiful, small but very beautiful, so very clean,” she said. Malaysia Fashion Show : The 1.79m-tall behavioural therapist is currently in Brazil preparing for the Miss Universe finals, which will air on Channel 5 at 9am on Sept 13.

Ms Lim, a National University of Singapore graduate, was crowned Miss Singapore Universe in July.

She followed in the footsteps of her mother, Ginny Lim, who was a Miss Singapore Universe finalist 30 years ago.

Astrid Ellena Indriana Yunadi was crowned Miss Indonesia 2011 on June 3rd, 2011 at the Central Park Ballroom in Jakarta. Astrid of East Java is 21 year old and stands 1.70m. She will represent Indonesia in Miss World 2011 in London, England on November 6.

Wanna be a Wonder Girl?

The Korean talent management company behind the Wonder Girls (top) is holding auditions in Singapore next month. -- ST FILE PHOTO

The company behind popular Korean groups the Wonder Girls, whose hits include Nobody, and also 2PM and 2AM is holding auditions in Singapore next month to recruit new talent.

Korean talent management company JYP will be holding open casting calls on Dec 8, 9 and 11 at Agora Hall in Republic Polytechnic.

Those hoping for a shot at stardom can audition as long as they are born between 1983 and 2001, regardless of nationality and gender.

JYP is looking for talent in a range of categories including singing, acting, dancing, hosting and modelling.

Be prepared for some stiff competition: Auditions are also being held in Hong Kong on Dec 17 and 18 at the Hong Kong International Trade and Exhibition Centre.

Selected candidates will be notified in January and sent to South Korea to be trained by JYP.
